Jared + Amanda || NC Wedding Photographers, On the Windfall Wedding | Lansing, North Carolina

First, I would like to say that intimate weddings and elopements are what I live for.  This small, outdoor wedding was one of my favorites to photograph because it was cozy and focused on all the right things!  It really was a DREAM.  Everything from the venue to the dried flowers to the handmade gifts were perfect.  Jared and Amanda are so unique in the sense that both of their focuses are nature-related.  They love animals of all shapes and sizes, and find the preservation of nature to be incredibly important.  During the reception, they introduced an owl back into nature after it had been rehabilitated.

Before the ceremony, we went onto the top of a hill at the venue, On the Windfall.  The views of the Appalachian mountains were incredible, and made the moment so magical.  I always get misty-eyed as my couples look at each other for the first time on their wedding day, especially when the moment is as precious as this.  Both Jared and Amanda wiped tears from the other’s faces and Amanda twirled for Jared to see her in her incredible wedding dress.

Afterward, the ceremony and reception were held beside a beautiful pond, engulfed in nature.  I cannot imagine a more perfect wedding day or place for Jared and Amanda.   On the Windfall has become one of my favorite wedding venues in North Carolina.

And then, at the reception there were hand knitted mug cozies for the coffee that they served as a gift to the guests.  I have always thought that handmade gifts are so much more thoughtful, and for the bride to take time to put so much love into something is so unique!  This outdoor wedding had hot cider with hand knitted decor to boot!

Naked cakes are amazing!!!! This wedding was in NC, but you are a Colorado Wedding Photographer. Do you consider those destination weddings? Any couple would be lucky to have you as their wedding photographer. I especially love the rich colors that they chose for their florals. And, of course, as I had mentioned above: Naked Cake!!!!! <3 Totally gorgeous.

Your photos are amazing! Everything was simply beautiful.
My daughter has chosen bridesmaid’s dresses very close to this color and has had a difficult time picking attire for the guys that goes with her woodsy look. This is exactly what we’ve been trying to find. Do you have any information on the look the guys are sporting?
