Britton + Nicole || Colorado Wedding Photographer, Destination Wedding Photographer | Silverthorne, Colorado

When I met Britton and Nicole I learned quickly that they both had a strong sense of adventure.

They shared a love for traveling, hiking, and reaching new heights- everything that I love being able to capture as a photographer.  As you can see, they really enjoy having fun, and don’t take life too seriously.  They danced, and laughed in a field as I told them to do all kinds of silly things.

So, Growing up in Summit County, Colorado was such an amazing experience and when they told me that they were going to rent an Airbnb and get married in Silverthorne I was SO excited.  If you have never been, and are looking for the perfect place to get married or elope then that is the place for you.  Britton and Nicole had a big tent with a ceremony site facing the mountains, and it was magical.  Their friends and family had tents and campers set up all around the land, and there was a log cabin at the top of the lot with views for days.

As the sun was setting and they said “I do” with tears in their eyes, I was reminded once again how much I love this job of mine.  At every wedding or elopement that I photograph, there is always a moment in the day that causes me to stop and really take in that moment.  With them it was the moment that she said that her father would love Britton.  I caught my breath, looked around and all the overwhelming emotion, and captured it.  The raw feelings aren’t always of joy, but that is what makes us human.  It is what brings people together.  It is what brought Britton and Nicole together.  And weddings bring every emotion to the surface, and that is what makes it so special.
