Hunter + Bailey | Colorado Engagement Photographer, Vail Wedding Photographer | Vail, Colorado

Colorado engagement in Vail– When Hunter and Bailey reached out to me, I automatically got the impression that they were outgoing, adventurous and were a one-of-a-kind couple.  They live in California, got engaged in Thailand, and we took their engagement photos in Vail.

When you think about your engagement, your wedding, your lives together what overall feeling comes to mind? Is it one big feeling, or a mix of different ones? Does one cause you stress (ie the wedding planning part)? If so, I would suggest going ahead and getting a planner.  They help so much, and if you are planning your wedding out of state like these two then it will make life SO much easier.

As we walked down the snowy path, they held hands and we chatted.  Sometimes you just know when a couple is happy, and meant to be together.  Both Bailey and Hunter were relaxed throughout our session, and naturally snuggled close (probably because windchill was at most, zero degrees).  They are the ones that make my job easy!

When Bailey said, “I have a bottle of champagne in my bag.  Could we get some photos opening it” I couldn’t contain my excitement.  The early morning low temperatures, mixed with that gorgeous light, and champagne made for a photographer’s dream.  We had a great time going into downtown Vail, after the champagne bottle opening, and explored the cute nooks of the town.

If you are trying to find a spot for mountainous engagement photos, Vail is on the top of my list of recommendations!

If you have been talking about getting an engagement session done, but don’t know where let me know! We can plan together.  Also, if you are eloping or getting married, I have the travel bug year round, so see where I will be and if I have any discounts for your location.

I absolutely love your work! This Vail engagement shoot is so adorable! My fiance and I will be having a intimate wedding in Vail next September, 2019. The spot you took these pictures is exactly what we have in mind for our ceremony site. Does the town allow small weddings just on a whim? I appreciate any insight you have. We’re from Illinois and while we visit often, we are still searching for ideas.
    Thank you!!

Hi Lindsay! Thank you so much!! I love intimate weddings, if you are looking for a photographer! There are lots of spots in and around Vail that you can have an intimate wedding without much notice. If you want to meet during your next visit to Colorado I would gladly do that, too!
