Remington + Kristen | Maroon Bells Elopement Photographer, Colorado Elopement Photographer | Aspen, Colorado

As a photographer that specializes in intimate weddings and elopements around Colorado, when Kristen contacted me with their vision for their wedding day, I spun around in my chair with excitement! They both had their hearts set on saying “I do” for a Maroon Bells elopement.

There is something about having mountains, and a lake as your backdrop while you say your vows.  It almost leaves you breathless. Every. Single. Time. As Remington and Kristen stood in front of their family, the light hitting the mountains beautifully, their family there to witness, I stood back and took it all in.  Their love was so present, and I wasn’t the only one crying.

There are so many things about being able to photograph an elopement that I am a huge advocate of, and the number one thing is that my couples get to make the day about THEM! What a concept, I know! It isn’t about the cousin that doesn’t like the flowers that you chose, or the expensive tent that you had to pay for just in case it rains. It is about you two. You can say your vows with the mountains as your witness, and then hike along those same mountains, and take it all in.  You can take your time in the place that you will always remember as one of the best days of your lives.  Love is love is love, and whether you have a big wedding at a venue in Breckenridge or small one in Maroon Bells, don’t forget that at the heart of that wedding is you two! When it gets stressful, keep those words in the back of your mind.
