Ryan + Hilary | West Yellowstone Wedding, Montana Wedding Photographer | West Yellowstone, Montana

West Yellowstone Wedding-  When you meet someone and you immediately feel like you’re talking to a friend. That’s how Hilary was.  She was excited, energetic and full of joy while we were skyping.  She was feeding Brady, her son, and we were chatting away.  I heard about how, in the midst of planning their original wedding, Brady came as a surprise, so their gears changed.  Ryan and Hilary still wanted a wedding with all of their friends and family there to celebrate, so 2 years later they renewed their vows in Pacific Union Dining Lodge in downtown West Yellowstone.

Hilary’s sister-in-law (and bridesmaid) is one of my great friends, and so it was lots of fun being able photograph Ryan and Hilary’s wedding and spend some time in Montana with Kelsey.  Kelsey is also a videographer in Denver, so watching her and her husband break it down on the dance floor was priceless.
Before the ceremony Ryan and Hilary had their first look– some time together quietly before all of the events took place. I think it is a great thing to do if you get nervous in front of a crowd, or just want a little calm before the storm.  Traditions are changing and going out of style, so if you aren’t sure about a first look, just ask!

“To me a rich and satisfying life means one full of contrast.  Give me sleep ins. And soft rains. Coffee shops and conversation. But also adrenaline and adventure. And drunken bellows to the stars. I am determined to embrace this extravagant life for all that it has to offer” -Beau Taplin

If you are looking to get married, whether it is in rustic West Yellowstone, or outside in Breckenridge, send me a message! I would gladly talk to you about your wedding or elopement!
