Stuart + Kayla | Breckenridge Wedding Photographer, Colorado Wedding Photographer | Windy Point Dillon, Colorado

If you have never been to Windy Point Campground in Dillon, Colorado you are seriously missing out.  It overlooks Lake Dillon and is surrounded by mountains.  I am biased but I think that Summit County is the best place to get married.  My favorite part about photographing weddings and elopements here is that you don’t need decorations to make everything breathtaking.  Stuart and Kayla both grew up in Summit County, so when it came to choosing a spot for their wedding there was no question.

In true Colorado fashion, as soon as I started to take portraits of Stuart, the bottom dropped and we got 30 minutes of hail and rain.  It made for some gorgeous photos!

From being apart while Stuart went to basic training, and a deployment, and while Kayla has been in med school, these two always have stood strong in their relationship.  They remember what is important, and support each other in their career goals, and love for each other.  It really is an inspiration! To see a couple stay strong through 8 years of close and far, adventuring all over the world, and working as a team.

Their engagement session was outside of Mount Evans back last fall if you want to take a look!

Did I also mention that the bridal party all did a shotski with the moonshine that Stuart distilled?? What a cool couple!
And as the sun was setting we went out to the edge of Lake Dillon and took some photos.  The time with just the bride and groom is what I love most. I ask them to talk and dance and whisper secrets.  It is why I do what I do.

Check back for more blog posts up soon! I am in the midst of wedding season and can’t wait to share all of my amazing couples with you.
