Clay + Tereza Sapphire Point Overlook Wedding

This love story starts with a girl from the Czech Republic and a boy from Missouri. Clay and Tereza met three years ago in Colorado and have been together in Denver ever since. In early May (during one of our gorgeous days!) they brought their families together to Sapphire Point Overlook, and said “I do”. As their closest friends and families stood there overlooking Lake Dillon, the clouds parted, they kissed and everyone cheered! And how could you not end that with a champagne toast??

Clay told Tereza when they first started dating that he wanted to start a family within the next 2 years, and she said there was no way that she thought that she would be ready for a little on running around by then! She laughed, looked at her belly and said, “it’s so funny that, 2 years later, here we are. With a little girl on the way”! I think it was SO SWEET–in their vows to each other, Tereza and Clay both talked about their little girl (they had just found out the day before that they were having a girl), their adventures, and how they are going to be such wonderful parents.

“The most important thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother.”

We meandered over to Lake Dillon, and took some photos of just Clay and Tereza, and they got to take it all in. The feeling right after you just get married is so incredible. There is a rush of so many emotions. It is my ABSOLUTE favorite time for couples photos. Clay and Tereza were no exception. We also got to celebrate their little girl, in front of the mountains!

If you have always dreamed about eloping, or having a small wedding in Colorado but don’t know where, reach out! I will gladly help you two find the perfect spot. I am a Summit County native, and know so many places around Colorado that aren’t on a google search. Let’s do this thang!!

Also, go get inspired with more galleries of weddings and elopements HERE!
