Danny + Carly Breckenridge Elopement

Two words: Happy Hour. That’s also how Danny and Carly met. You will hear more about their story soon, but until then sit back and look at their epic Breckenridge elopement and be all kinds of jealous 😉

We met just shortly after we both came out of really difficult relationships. I was in a pretty odd place in my life. Daniela was actually a bartender at a local restaurant (with happy hour like every day). I was not looking for anything or anyone, but she caught my eye from the moment I saw her. So I came around much more than I should have. We always joke that I was the alcoholic that fell for the bartender. We started talking and hanging around each other pretty frequently for about 8+ months. Mainly as friends. This went on for quite some time. I started cooking her dinner when she would get off work in hopes that she would stay over – she did and she just never left. Danny jokes that she is like a cat and once you feed her, she won’t leave. So we ended up living together before we were ever official, which I guess was a good test. Still I think we were trying to hold out on a relationship. But a few months later, super “romantic Danny”, made it facebook official while we were on vacation. She didn’t ask me first either, so about 600 people knew we were together before I did. But I was too ecstatic to care, that was secretly all I had hoped for in the last few months. She pulled me out of a downward spiral and helped me escape a lot of the demons I had carried around for a long time. We were almost instantly changed women, everything changed for the better.

I knew that all I wanted from this life was to love her, for every moment I could. I was so sure of this I probably could have married her then!

Carly

Now we are like little old ladies and we enjoy working and hanging out on the couch with all the animals we’ve acquired together. Daniela proposed to me on September 23 of this year, my birthday, which made my 25th the absolute happiest birthday ever! We were initially planning on a big wedding destination wedding in Colorado with all of our closest people, but were pressured into keeping it local here in Houston.

So as we were getting ready to sign the contract for our venue we reevaluated, and decided that we would rather elope. From the beginning we wanted it in the mountains, and it didn’t make sense to spend 30k on a wedding to please people we aren’t all that close to. So to Colorado we come! We get to experience more together, the way that WE envision it, and that was a Breckenridge elopement.

I am cheesy as hell, but when I see LOVE…real, happy, crazy, relentless love, I get all the feels. And I can’t think of anything better than being able to photograph it for a living. I am the lucky one! Check out their review, too! I seriously loved these two.
